Responsibilities

• Attend Section Leader meetings, as needed.

• Notify the Director of absences within your section.

• Make sure your section is quiet when the podium is occupied.

• Quiet your section when the Concert Master stands to tune the band

• Keep your section quiet between pieces at concerts.

• Ensure that warm-up is as the band as a whole, not individuals continuously playing

• Welcome new members in your section.

• Obtain contact information for new members and give this to Jerelyn Grader for the roster.

• Inform new members of band etiquette.

• Remind section members to pay their dues (students are exempt).

• Call members in your section if a schedule change occurs.

• Make sure your section knows of any changes to the music prior to the concert.

• Make sure your section has their music prior to a concert.

• Ensure folders get back to the box after concerts.
